Celebrating the FIFA World Cup Through Community and Youth
Events That Benefit proudly led the creation of a community video celebrating Everett’s excitement for the FIFA World Cup 2026. Developed with the participation of our team and youth, the project highlights the culture, energy, diversity, and community pride found throughout the City of Everett.
Created in partnership with and with support from the City of Everett, the video also promotes the Everett Official SeattleFWC26 Fan Zone and Waterfront Watch Parties. The City of Everett, Port of Everett, and Snohomish County Sports Commission are partnering to present a series of family-friendly celebrations on June 11, 12, 18, and 19, 2026.
Hosted at the Port of Everett’s Boxcar Park, the Waterfront Watch Parties will feature large outdoor match screenings, local food and beverage vendors, live music, family-friendly activities, community celebrations, and a free shuttle. With Seattle serving as a host city for the tournament, Everett is preparing to welcome soccer fans from across the region and beyond.
Community Leadership and Participation
Events That Benefit was honored to lead this project and create opportunities for youth from our programs to participate in the filming and production process. The video also features the participation of Everett Mayor Cassie Franklin and Washington State Representative Julio Cortes of the 38th Legislative District.
This project demonstrates the power of partnerships, youth leadership, arts, and storytelling in bringing a community together for an international celebration.
