Eric Jimenez

 Co-Founder/Director of Programs 

Eric Jimenez is a dedicated youth activist and the Director of Programs at Events That Benefit. Born and raised in California to a hard-working immigrant family, Eric moved to Snohomish County in 2019, bringing with him a deep passion for cultural promotion and community service. With over 23 years of experience in dance, Eric's journey began with Folkloric dance, and he now dedicates his efforts to promoting Mexican culture among the youth.

 

In addition to his role at Events That Benefit, Eric is also the co-founder of Reyes Events, established in 2019. His commitment to youth empowerment is demonstrated by his extensive eight-year career working with at-risk youth, homeless youth, and those struggling with mental health and substance abuse issues.

 

In February 2024, Eric was honored to join the City of Everett Mayor’s Drug Crisis Task Force. As a member of the Education & Prevention subcommittee, Eric collaborated with a diverse group of Everett's brightest minds, including service providers, business leaders, government officials, faith-based organizations, community members, and experts with lived experience.

 

Eric's exceptional leadership and dedication to youth advocacy were recognized when he was nominated for the Emerging Leader Award 2024. Among numerous nominees, Eric distinguished himself, earning a spot in the Top 4 Emerging Leaders and receiving an award for his significant contributions.

 

Eric Jimenez's work continues to inspire and positively impact the lives of many. His passion for cultural promotion, combined with his commitment to supporting youth and families, makes him a visionary leader dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive community.

Ruben Reyes

 Co-Founder/ Program & Data Associate

Ruben Reyes is the accomplished Program & Data Associate at Events That Benefit, known for his dedication to data-informed programming and cultural advocacy. Born and raised in California, Ruben grew up in a hardworking family, which instilled in him a strong work ethic and a commitment to community service.

 

During his childhood and teenage years, he was actively involved in sports and the arts, experiences that enriched his perspective and fueled his passion for diverse cultural expressions.

 

In 2019, Ruben moved to Snohomish County, where he co-founded Reyes Events alongside Eric Jimenez. His professional background includes eight years of banking experience, providing him with a solid foundation in financial management and strategic planning.

 

Ruben's commitment to cultural promotion is evident through his four years of experience advocating for and delivering cultural programs to youth. His bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish enhances his ability to connect with and serve diverse communities, promoting inclusivity and cultural awareness.

 

As Program & Data Associate at Events That Benefit, Ruben leverages his analytical skills, program knowledge, and passion for cultural advocacy to support and inspire youth.

 

His dedication continues to make a significant impact on the community, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all.

Jasmine Mejorado 

Co-Founder/ Program Coordinator

Jasmine Mejorado is the dynamic Program Coordinator at Events That Benefit, renowned for her creativity, mentorship, and dedication to youth and families. Born and raised in California, Jasmine brings over 14 years of dance experience, combining her passion for the arts with her professional endeavors.

 

Jasmine's academic background includes an Associate's Degree in Graphic Design and a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic and Web Design. This educational foundation enhances her ability to bring a creative and strategic approach to her roles.

​

 

As the Project Manager and an Instructor at Reyes Events, Jasmine leverages her expertise in managing and organizing events to ensure their success and impact.

​

 

Her commitment to advocating for youth and families is at the core of her work. Jasmine's experience and passion for mentoring others make her a valuable leader, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment within the organization.

Jasmine's unique blend of creativity, leadership, and dedication to community service continues to inspire and positively impact those around her.
